T
he comforts of cooking can ignite memories that seem to lie deep within the archives of our minds. Every recipe has a story. You can visit a place in time or a destination that you haven’t yet physically seen by opening a cookbook and dreaming. Perhaps a trip to Paris walking down Sienes... Or maybe a past Christmas at your grandmother’s with her famous cinnamon rolls in the oven bubbling over. Whatever the dream, it can come to life with the right recipe.

Smell and taste are two of our most powerful senses.  They create and enhance our lives. Cooking can be truly therapeutic. On the flip side, cooking can be something from where scary nightmares come. With our hectic lifestyles and time crunches, if you don’t have the right tools you end up overwhelmed and simply give up. Who could blame you! That’s why we’ve created this website, to help offer fun gourmet cooking for today’s busy American kitchens.

Christina and I initially began writing Passport to Paris as just a little mother-daughter cookbook with a few simple recipes to market at school for a Mother’s Day gift.  Christina wanted to contribute and help earn some of the fare for her Paris trip ….hence the play on words it would be her “Passport to Paris.”  She also wanted to give a portion of the proceeds back as a civic project to help children in need with in our community.

We quickly reached our goal of 10 recipes but we were having so much fun writing and creating we couldn’t stop researching and cooking. Also, the more we spoke with others we realized that there was a larger niche for this segment of cooking than we realized; fun gourmet food that could be created simply and easily.  So we decided to expand on our project and that is truly when our journey together began.
