We are allocating a portion of the proceeds from our Passport to Paris cookbook to do works of kindness for children and families in need. Inspired by my late grandmother, Nellie Jane's "God money fund." She would set aside a small amount of money every month to be used to help those in need. Always claiming her God money didn't come from her but from Him. She wanted to remain as discreet as possible as to not embarrass the families but insisting on doing these acts just for goodness' sake. It could be as small as purchasing a new pair of shoes and socks for a poor new baby and leaving them on the doorstep or as large as to sponsor a child in a third world country who relied on such contributions for survival.
When I was a child I was always taken back by her generosity and the humilty of her pure spirit. I vowed in her eulogy that I would somehow continue doing her work. We look forward to continuing on her crusade. Look for our updates to this site to let you see what's going on "For Goodness Sake."
